Traditional Performing Arts × Street Dance Part 2

A fusion of street dance and Japanese traditional performing arts. It is a creation of new culture by the young generation.

This program is an attempt to create a new fusion of performing arts from totally different cultural backgrounds; street dance which is popular among high school teenagers with Kabuki.

[Part 1] Street Dance × Kabuki
Teenager dance groups perform their original dance related to Kabuki in a style of competition.

[Part 2] "Sambaso" Kinoshita-Kabuki
The program is derived from Kyogen to Kabuki and symbolizes the Japanese traditional performing arts “Sambaso”. The masterpiece of Kinoshita-Kabuki recreated history and the nature of celebrations in the present age and was updated as contemporary dance.
