Japanese Traditional Culture Experience Program
(Edo-style Hand Painted Paper Lanterns・Edo Sudare Coaster) in Harajuku
The Traditional Culture Workshop at the MOSHI MOSHI GALLERY in Harajuku will be held this year as well. A workshop on traditional crafts designated will be held over the course of two days.
Guidance is available in English.
We will hand out the manual in English, Chinese and Korean.
You will make Edo-style Hand-painted lanterns creating a design in pencil on the lantern itself and using acrylic paint to fill in the design. You can take the lantern home with you.

Based on skills handed down for nearly 300 years since the Edo period, this workshop gives you the opportunity to create a superb quality Edo Sudare (Edo-style bamboo lattice) coaster in a design that matches the modern lifestyle. You can take the coasters home with you.
