Program
Tokyo Grand Tea Ceremony 2013Finished.
A moment to absorb the spirit of hospitality
We will hold a large-scale tea ceremony event to introduce the art of Japanese tea and the Edo/Tokyo culture that brought it all together to people who have not yet experienced it or those who are from overseas. Sado is a composite art encompassing landscape, tools and decorum. Underlying its unique aesthetics is the spirit of hospitality towards the guests. The Tokyo Grand Tea Ceremony brings the various schools of sado together to serve their elixir. It is a rare opportunity to come in to contact with the spirit of tea. Savor the subtle beauty of sado in the historical ambience of the Edo-Tokyo Open-Air Architectural Museum and/or the Hama-rikyū Gardens.
